Yesterday, I assented to the 2026 Appropriation Law of Benue State; the Budget of Rural Development, Livelihood Support and Sustained Growth. This people-centred budget is a clear declaration that the era of rural neglect in Benue State is over. It prioritises rural roads, water supply, electrification, and climate-smart infrastructure, while placing strong emphasis on agriculture and agro-industrial development to support farmers, create jobs, and grow incomes. I commend the Speaker and members of the Benue State House of Assembly for their diligence and patriotism in the budget process and call on all stakeholders to partner with us in its effective implementation.
